Changes are challenging. They cause a degree of anxiety and stress because usually there are unknown factors or variables. How can one cope with this stress and feel better about moving forward? The #1 to do is to make a plan. With as much information as you have make a plan. Your goal is to create the new reality as much as you can so you can begin to feel comfortable with how it will be. Let's say you are moving. You can get a diagram of the new apartment or house and begin to place your furniture. This will help you see yourself in your new place. The 2nd task is to to make a list of your To Do's. With that information in hand you can start to take action and get things done. This will keep you focused and hopefully keep your stress level at a minimum because you know you are doing things to prepare for the change. Hopefully this will help you embrace change and have a positive experience.
